GLASSES AND BIFOCALS:
The monitor will need to be even lower. Depending on vision levels, and the amount and type of computer work being done, people have found that a secon pair of glasses for computer-use only works better. Another alternative is to have a computer prescription in the upper part of the lens. Your optometrist will be able to determine the best solution, based on your vision.

LIGHTNING AND GLARE:

How can eye discomfort be reduced?

Overhead lighting

  • Use filters to diffuse overhead lighting.
  • Dim overhead lights.
  • Keep in mind that recommended level of light in offices 300 - 500 lux is not a must. It applies in the situation where there is no task lamp in use.

Windows

  • Cover windows with adjustable blinds.

Monitor

  • Adjust the brightness and contrast according to your preference.
  • Use a light colour for the background.
  • Place the monitor parallel (not directly below) with overhead lights.
  • Angle the monitor away from lights and windows.

Computer tables and chairs

There are soo many types of chair in the world, but i personly pick just one chair that would suit everyone. A chair that have adjust head holder, so that your head can relax, have armrest, backrest up and down, ability to raise and lower the seat height, seat pad so that you can tilted forwards or backwards, and movable.

If your floor is carpeted and your chair has trouble to move your chair, you need to use a chair mat. Your armrest makes your shoulders to be relaxed.

Your seat should be high enough so that your arms are horizontal to your keyboard. There should be a space of abot 3 fingers between the back of your knees and the edge of your seat.your feet should be flat on the floor. If you are very tall, you may need to raise your desk height to the recommended position. And if you are too short to reach the floor, you may need footrest. Your hips should be higher than your knees and your lower legs bent 90 degrees or more.

Your head must be upright and over your shoulders, your eyes looking 30 degrees downward without bending your neck. Your back should be supported by the backrest of your chair. Your elbows bent at 90 degrees and relax. The scat pan should be wide so it does not apply pressure to your tights.

Distance of you and your monitor should be between 60-90 cm far. Sitting at a computer for too long causes neck and shoulder stiffness and lower back pain, so you must do some stretching.

Choose the table that have a button that can raise and lower down . So that you can position how high want your is. For example you are working then your assistant came in to ask you about the paper that you gave, you need a desk to explained to your assistant but you don't have enough seat so you explained by standing. Your table is not as high as your position so you press the button below your table to raise you table.
